We have given attention to selecting products that support environmental sustainability. Designating products as sustainable is not a black or white issue. We evaluate products based on several criteria, these are represented by the Sustainability Icons below. You will see these throughout the product area on this website. We also look forward to your thoughts or suggestions.

  • Local Locally Sourced

    Material that is sourced within 500 miles of our lot.

  • Solar Heat Island Mitigator

    Materials that help control temperature difference between developed and undeveloped areas are useful in decreasing the urban heat island effect; can be achieved through reflectivity (SRI of 29 or greater) or other temperature control measures

  • Recycled Recycled

    Material that is made from at least 80% recycled content.

  • Water Storm Water Management Tool

    Material that works to maneuver the water that falls on your property into it’s most effective and responsible place.

  • Organic Organic

    Material that is made without pesticides, chemicals or synthetic ingredients.
